Alzheimer’s Research Symposium for Caregivers and Professionals

The Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter announced its annual Research Symposium, to be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Feinberg Pavilion Conference Center, Northwestern University. This event, hosted in honor of National Family Caregivers Month, aims to celebrate the invaluable contributions of caregivers, enhance awareness, and connect families with crucial information and resources.

Each year, this symposium gathers over 300 caregivers, patients, families, and healthcare professionals to learn about the latest developments in Alzheimer’s and dementia research, as well as the Alzheimer’s Association’s leadership in global research initiatives. The symposium also offers attendees essential tools and resources to support caregiving and decision-making throughout their Alzheimer’s journey.

The symposium will feature a series of expert-led discussions on clinical studies, lifestyle interventions, and advances in dementia care. Attendees will hear from distinguished researchers and clinicians from leading health systems across the Chicagoland area. Topics will include brain health, risk reduction, early detection, and legal planning.
